'CECI N'EST PAS UN SAC' AW18 AT NZFW 2017

At New Zealand Fashion Week 2017 we presented our sixth collection ‘Ceci n’est pas un sac’ in an installation on Wednesday evening.

Our AW18 range observes how modern communication influences perception of the female form and the freedom given the subconscious mind to perceive and deceive. The collection pieces together fragmented realities to achieve silhouettes in celebration of all that is illogically beautiful; introducing a limited collaboration of six styles featuring original works by Auckland based artist Alma Proença.

We worked closely on the New Zealand Fashion Week installation with Proença and Sarah and Ellyn Hui of Meide Studio to bring to life our tactile leather collection of 35 pieces through the use of three-dimensional mapped projection.

The installation art champions a shift in focus from what art visually represents to what it communicates, dissolving the line between art and fashion.
